BVES PTA Members ~
On Monday, the school board is meeting to discuss the possibility of eliminating the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) at Hays CISD schools. You may remember attending our first PTA meeting of the year and hearing from Ms. Leonard on the benefits of this program. We are hoping that we find a way to keep this program going and funded at BVES.
It is our hope that many of you can attend the meeting and offer support to our school faculty. Our PTA treasurer, Holly Raymond, will be speaking at the meeting along with other BVES teachers and faculty.
The school board meeting is taking place on Monday, March 30, 2009, at Lehman HS in the school cafeteria and the public portion of the meeting begins at 6:30 pm. I would advise you to arrive closer to 6 pm, however.
As a reminder, the TAP program allows for more teacher accountability, encourages students to reach their full potential, gives teachers the ability to mentor and develop good teachers into great teachers.
