Hays CISD Ideas Summit - Thurs, Sept. 17th

All members of the Hays CISD community are encouraged to attend an Ideas Summit at the Performing Arts Center on Thursday, September 17, 2009 as the school district begins an intensive, five-year strategic planning process.

“This is an opportunity for the community to work with the school district in a very public way to identify our values,” said Dr. Jeremy Lyon, Superintendent of Hays CISD. “We’ll determine what our highest, loftiest aspirations are as a district and then we’ll identify strategies that are going to get us there.”

There will be two opportunities to share ideas and aspirations on September 17. One summit will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the other will begin at 6:30 p.m. The summit lasts about an hour and a half. Both will be at the Performing Arts Center. Participants only attend one of the summits. Light refreshments will be served at both summits and child care will be provided at the 6:30 p.m. summit.

“Aspiration becomes the context in which everything happens,” said Lindsey Gunn, Ph.D., Senior Associate of Cambridge Strategic Services, the firm hired recently to guide the district’s strategic planning process.
